The iconic music video with three roller-skating women in the dark, misty highway is an instant cultural memory of 2014-15. The hypnotic bassline and sultry vocals defined the indie era and moody chilly-out playlists. Now, with the festive season around the corner, India’s concert calendar has officially begun. And leading it, the Australian electronic-soul icon Chet Faker (or Nick Murphy, if you know him that way) is returning to India. The tour will cover three cities this September, starting with Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
Chet Faker – “A Love for Strangers India” tour
Nick Murphy, better known as Chet Faker, is performing in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru on September 18, 19, and 20, respectively. He returns seven years after his iconic headline at NH7 Weekender Festival in Pune. One cannot forget that legendary set where he appeared dressed in a kurta, garland around his neck, and jammed live with tabla maestro Dr Aneesh Pradhan. Moreover, Faker certainly had taken the world by storm with its chillout staple and viral cover of Blackstreet Boys’ “No Diggity“.
In fact, for Indian indie fans, his discography has a permanent feature for late-night lounge sessions and drives. Tunes of Gold, Talk is Cheap, Drop the Game, and 1998 remain go-to for seasoned chillers. Now, you can catch him live with his latest album, A Love for Strangers, along with timeless favourites.
Tickets
The tickets are available exclusively on Skillbox. The prices start at ₹ 2999/- for early bird General Admission (GA) and ₹ 3499/- for early bird GA+ admission. The GA pass provides standard access to the standing zone, mini bar and food areas. Whereas GA+ provides VIP entry or priority access, closer to the stage experience, and exclusive bar lounges.
