How you doin this Friendship Day? Don’t even have a pla? Well, it’s time to perk up, grab the gang and head to this Mumbai brewery’s enjoyable Friendship Day event inspired by the iconic 90s TV show F.R.I.E.N.D.S. The cosy neighbourhood coffee shop, Central Perk, where the 6 friends perpetually hung around, drank coffee and spilt tea about their lives, will be recreated at Sthamba Brewery in Lokhandwala on August 3.

We promise you, similarities extend beyond coffees and beers being ‘brews’. Snap selfies sitting on the signature orange sofa that the on-screen
pals constantly lounged on, surrounded by colourful umbrellas from the opening credits. The fountain’s missing, but a fount of Friends-themed games like foosball and a deep-cut trivia quiz floods this event. It will grill you hard on if you know what they know you know about all 10 seasons of the show. Thankfully, no one’s losing apartments!

From the photobooths of the yellow picture-framed peephole on Monica’s apartment door to Joey’s stuffed toy Hugsy and walls covered with photos, the decor and props are so meticulous and detailed, they would satisfy Monica’s OCD. Phoebe Buffay fans should sign up for the ‘Smelly Cat’ open mic session. You can warble off-key renditions of kooky tunes from the show that Lisa Kudrow’s eccentric yet lovable character sang.

As for Chandler stans, there’s an entire corner dedicated to the late Matthew Perry. Lit with candles and photographs of the brilliant actor who played the friend group’s sarcastic softie, this one offers you no advice but plenty of reminders to live life to the fullest with your buddies.
After that teary memorial, you’ll laugh hysterically at the Joey mannequin dressed up in all of Chandler’s clothes – a nod to the episode ‘The One Where No One’s Ready.’ Whenever you firmly decide you’re on a break (unlike Rachel and Ross), grab a cup of coffee at the bar and snacks loyal to the Friends theme. Hopefully, no one’s having a meltdown over a Turkey Sandwich.
This is the closest you’ll come to visiting the sets of the beloved show that’s been a generation’s comfort watch. Your friends will be there for you, but these tickets might not if you wait too long! Get them here
