Forget Instagrammable cafes and their maximalist interiors. We want to introduce you to an unusual dining experience perfect for weekend nights! Dorangos dining in the dark experience is a brilliant concept where intentional focus on food is reintroduced under pitch black settings. Discarding phones, lights, and even your sight, this experience brings out a well-curated surprise menu, where diners are made to guess each dish they taste.
How does it work?
When we mean complete darkness, we really do mean complete. pitch. black. darkness. There are no lamps spilling little light or low-lit chandeliers casting a dim glow over the room. All cellphones are required to be deposited outside the room or switched off. That means no flashlight pictures for the gram! The experience champions mystery and sensory (well, partial) delights, and there are absolutely no distractions allowed.

Lasting an hour, this experience further brings a tiny twist to darkened dinners. The kitchen brings out the dishes one after the other, but the food is not all that the experience has to offer. Imitating a subtle hauntedness, the sightless diners bear witness to a certain chill in the air, often accentuated by scary whispers, bone-chilling music, maybe even a tinge of manic laughter. As the experience is deeply secretive, it is impossible to reveal all that lurks within the dark rooms.
What is on the menu at Dorangos?
We do not know! The entire experience rests upon anonymity, and diners are supposed to guess as they indulge in a multi-course meal. All we can say is that the entire menu is purely vegetarian and is often divided into three to four courses with a decadent dessert waiting at the end of it.
