With October 31 freakily falling on a Friday this year, we’ got the whole weekend to RIP. Time to extinguish all the Diwali diyas to welcome the eerie darkness of this fall festival with killer cocktail deals, deadly dance parties to show off your Wednesday Adam (or Manjulika) moves, and horror movie screenings. 1. Corporate Hell, Social

As the Diwali firecrackers have died out and we’re stepping into well, corporate carnage, this popular cafe and bar chain decided to make it a fun experience. Their after-office Halloween party, inspired by toxic workplaces and office culture that burns out souls, is ironically fun enough to make all the hell your boss puts you through worth it. Our friends in Secret Dubai are huge fans of this Dubai-born modern Indian restaurant’s award-winning food. Their Mumbai outpost in Juhu embodies the same level of excellence, featuring creative seasonal events, such as their Halloween dinner. Specially crafted cocktails so stunning to look at, sipping them feels sinister, will be served alongsidea monster mash of delicious food and music.

3. Creatures of the Night, antiSOCIAL
Social’s performance venue for alt music and events transforms into the underworld’s hellish landscapes for their annual Halloween party. After last year’s Met Gala-inspired haute horror rampwalks, this year goes back to the basics with a Creatures of the Night theme. Dress up as a vampire, a zombie, a corpse bride – the sky (or depths of hell) is the limit when it comes to creative costumes and makeup. Then, groove the night away to psychedelic techno music by international DJs Lestrange, Annhillison and Mozzez.

4. The Souled Store Halloween Bash
Casual clothing brand Souled Store is hosting a Halloween party epic enough to wake up the dead. Beastly good sets by musician Dev Rayani and spooky games, face painting, and tarot card readings are all part of the terrific time you’ll have here.

5. The Graveyard, Mitron
The graveyard shift has never been more fun than this Halloween party, considered one of Mumbai’s must-visit Halloween events. Live horror storytelling for some spine-chilling tales, a live DJ spinning hex-cellent music that’ll cast a spell on you. 7. Halloween Brunch, Pondichéry Cafe

The glam all-day dining restaurant of the Sofitel BKC will join the fright train with a family-friendly Halloween Brunch. Delicious themed dishes like Undead Chaat, Witches Curses, Cemetery Feast, and drinks (both cocktails and mocktails) such as Trick or Treat, Vampire’s Kiss, and Blood Moon Margarita will have you fiending for more. 8. Go Goa Gone movie screening
India’s first-ever zombie movie, Go Goa Gone (2013), is being screened outdoors on Halloween by by Sunset Cinema Club at a SkyCinema session. This brainless comedy about brain-eating undead taking over Goa is a cult classic. Watch it with your coven of witches and wizards on a rooftop in Malad.

9. Grisly Girgaon Ghost Tour
South Mumbai’s glitzy upscale exterior hides some dark horrors! Walking tour company Khaki Tours runs an in-depth two-hour tour of the Girgaon area unearthing its buried secrets. For a hair-raising yet head-banging Halloween, head to a concert by Punjabi hip hop artist Talwiinder – known always for covering his face with his skull-like facepaint to hide his identity. 11. Scary Night Stand-Up Comedy
Instead of howling in fear, howl with laughter at this comedy night where all things paranormal, horror and superstitious are made fun of.
