The monsoons have finally begun, and the world looks alive again. Whatever the rains may bring, in Mumbai and around, it is not a season but a celebration. Somehow, days seem lazier, the trees seem more lush, and plans are cosier. It’s all good in the hood when you watch the rain colour the world bright from inside. After all, Mumbai roads tend to be somewhat of a mess with the downpour. As plans move indoors, the city’s historic dockyard, Ballard Pier, brings a plan of its own. Pier Pop brings a month-long monsoon festival with entertainment, shopping, and dining clubbed in. From June 21 to July 23 2026, the festival is turning the luxe space of The Ballard Pier Downtown Experience Centre into a 24/7 immersive experience. Here’s everything to do and feel, with a free entry!
Pier Pop at the Ballard Pier
Operating as a key point under the Bombay Port Trust, Ballard Pier has been an entryway in and out of India since 1915. The historic maritime and commercial hub has served as the city’s premier steamship terminal across British India. Except for the celebrated Edwardian neoclassical and Europeans renaissance architecture, there hasn’t been much to attract the general crowd. Nevertheless, today, it anchors India’s first International cruise terminal and features the Ballard Pier Downtown Experience Centre. Hosting the very first of its kind in its luxurious space, the Pier Pop by House of Hiranandani brings high-end shopping, glowing go-karting, indoor pickle-ball, art exhibits, among others, facing the sea.
What to expect?
Within the working cruise terminal, part of the pier has opened for Mumbaikars for a mix of sports, food, markets, music, and community-first activities. The program shifts between pickleball, indoor go-karting, retail pop-ups, food marts, fitness activities, workshops, and live performances by the harbour. Unfolding across the day, Pier Pop hosts nautical-themed activities.
Pickleball and go-karting
Under the colourful swirls of the pier ceiling, NautiPickle brings a set of indoor pickleball courts. Here, casual rallies and competitive matches happen throughout the day, with an option to rent equipment at the venue. Moreover, the air-conditioned courts are priced at ₹ 3500/- per court, per hour. There is also an availability of a VIP court with added service for longer play. Additionally, a few steps away, NautiTrax brings a 295-meter indoor go-karting track with ten dedicated karts. With sessions running throughout the day, the 8-minute heats are priced from ₹ 1,298/-. They run until 10 PM on weekdays and 12 AM on weekends.
Food and lifestyle mart
What’s an outing without a bit of shopping and food? With a rotating mix of food marts, Pier Pantry, curated by The Nommers, brings artisanal goods, baked treats, local growers, and waterfront bars and restaurant pop-ups. Among them are some of Bombay’s favourite boutique eats like Tropicool, Nova Gelato, Le Petit Ranch, Bombay Sweet Shop, Tandy’s Creamery, Good Home Pickles, Green Gro, and more. Additionally, the Nauti Baro Market brings a rotating edit of fashion, accessories, and home decor from 25+ independent labels, with a fresh selection every Tuesday. The market features homegrown brands like Goddess of Glocal, Raw India, Love by Kaveri, Wrii Studio, Humraha, Whitewater Kids, and Hemp Hoppers, among others. Your next statement find is hiding by the harbour.
Music, cinema, and everything in between
Keeping to the theme, NautiVerse brings seaside movie screenings and cinema programming with shows scheduled across the weekend, Friday to Sunday, from 3 PM to 6 PM. Additionally, the HYROX zone offers a functional fitness space for structured training sessions, a pop-up race-training space, and exciting workshops by the waterfront. Moreover, these programs are specifically designed to help athletes build stamina and prepare for the official HROX Mumbai event scheduled for September 2026. Let’s not forget their dedicated live music program that unfolds through the day and evening at the Upper Deck, Wave Length. Curated by blueFROG, their music program spans across genres and features new and emerging talents.
Other spaces include the Reading Nook, a quiet corner with books away from the main activity zone for the city’s bibliophiles. And, NautiWheels RC, an automotive and RC-led community zone with racing, boating, construction, crawling adventure, and an EEG mind-controlled car & train. The prices for this start at ₹ 650/-.
If you are looking to keep your kids busy, Pier Pop also has several interactive play zones for the youngsters. At the Construction Playground, children can build, dig, and explore through hands-on activities. Moreover, it’s open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM.
