Mr Misu, a fresh newcomer, has already gathered several loyal patrons courtesy of its menu serving variations of the classic Italian dessert. First-time cafe owner Ved built an entire menu surrounding Tiramisu, with every variation carrying the classic essence of the beloved dessert. One can feel the centrality even stepping into its cosy nook, where the walls and interiors all carry a cream and dark wood palette.
A glimpse at the menu
The menu starts with its quintessential fare- ladyfingers dipped in espresso, layered with creamy mascarpone and topped off with a generous cocoa dusting. Also available eggless, every bite out of the wrapped glass box comes light, fluffy and seriously luscious. And if the classic tiramisu isn’t satisfying enough (we highly doubt it), you can also try the specials coming with golden caramel infusions with hints of sea salt, a pistachio variation or a matcha berry version layered with in-house berry compote. Their misu bites, a delightful assemblage of six bite-sized tiramisu pops rolled in cocoa dusting, are served with sweet mascarpone and chocolate ganache. Resembling classic cake pops, these treacly bites melt in the mouth and have, since opening day, been a staple.
Coming to the beverages, the cafe flips the switch by introducing pastries as an integral part of the drink. Their cinnamon bun latte holds just the right amount of sweetness, and oh, has an entire bun plopped on it! Similarly, the tira-miss-u latte and matcha-miss-u latte are layered with mascarpone and a square of the dessert itself. The menu further offers gluten-free options like brownies and tea cakes. You can also try savoury favourites like pull-apart focaccias and bagel pizzas.
